Itinerary
Upon arriving at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU), also known as Guwahati Airport, and completing all customs procedures, please proceed to the exit gate. You will be met and greeted by a Greenlimon Holidays representative.
Later, drive to Nameri National Park -located on the banks of the Jia Bhorali River in Sonitpur, Assam, is a Tiger Reserve and a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to over 376 bird species.
En-route, stop at Koliabhomora Bridge in Tezpur for a Dolphin Boat Safari on the Brahmaputra River (subject to water levels and operational status). Optional.
Upon arrival , Check In Nameri Eco Camp. Evening free for leisure. Bonfire and traditional dances can be arranged on extra cost. Overnight stay at Nameri.
Start your day early at 5:30 AM with a 3 km walk through Nameri National Park. This is one of the few parks in India where you can trek inside the park. The walk begins with a short boat ride across the Jia Bhoroli River. After crossing, you’ll walk along the riverbed and into the park — the closest you can get to nature
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Dirang (approx. 140 km / 6 hours). Dirang is a scenic stop between Bomdila and Tawang, En route, stop at the Bhalukpong check post to present your Inner Line Permit (ILP), which is mandatory for all Indian tourists entering Arunachal Pradesh.
Note: To obtain the ILP, travelers must submit a valid photo ID along with two passport-sized photographs at the Bhalukpong border.
The drive to Dirang passes through lush forested hills and crosses the Nichephu Pass into the beautiful Tanga Valley. En route, visit the Orchid Research Centre at Tipi, home to around 10,000 orchids of various species. Arunachal Pradesh has the widest variety of orchids in India, with the peak blooming season from late March to May. Also stop at the Nag Mandir.
Upon arrival in Dirang, check in to your hotel. After lunch, visit the regional apple nursery, kiwi farm, natural hot water spring, Sangti Valley, and the historic Dirang Dzong Fort.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Tawang – the Land of Hidden Paradise (approx. 155 km / 6 hours). En route, cross the majestic Sela Pass, located at an altitude of 4,170 meters (13,700 feet). It is one of the highest motorable roads in India, offering stunning views, often covered in snow. Near the pass lies the beautiful, heart-shaped Sela Lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. In winter, the lake freezes, creating a magical landscape. Sela Pass, the main gateway to Tawang, is located about 78 km before the town.
Visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, located around 10 km ahead, built in honor of Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, who bravely fought against Chinese forces during the 1962 Indo-China war.
Stop at Jung Falls, also known as Nuranang Falls, a spectacular 100-meter-high waterfall. According to legend, it is named after a local Monpa girl, Nura, who assisted an Indian soldier during the 1962 war. The falls also featured in the Bollywood film Koyla, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.
Later, drive approximately 40 km to reach Tawang. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. The evening is at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Tawang.
After breakfast at hotel Proceed for Local sightseeing . Tawang, meaning “Chosen Horse,” was named by Mera Lama Lodre Gyatso. Surrounded by the Eastern Himalayas, it’s home to the Monpa tribe. visit the 400-year-old Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery (birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama), and Gyangong Ani Gompa . Visit the War Memorial and In the evening light and sound show. Dinner and overnight in Tawang.
After breakfast at the hotel visit Penga Teng Tso also known as PT Tso approx 23 km from Tawang located at High altitude, surrounded by natural beauty with snow-capped Eastern Himalayas Mountain. Late visit Shonga-tser Lake popularly known as the Madhuri Lake surrounded by wonderfully lush valleys, and snow-capped mountains en route to Bum La Pass. Later proceed to The Bum La Pass – approx 50 km from Tawang also known as Indo-China Border a perfect destination for snow lovers.
From Tawang, a day visit to China Border is possible for Indian Nationals only but it is subject to permission. It can be arranged at an additional cost. The local vehicle hired to visit China Border.Return to Tawang. Evening at leisure and local shopping. Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Tawang.
After breakfast, drive to Bomdila, which serves as a convenient transit point between Tawang and Guwahati.
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Later, visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gompa) and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gompa). Bomdila offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan landscape and snow-capped mountain ranges. In the evening, you may visit the local market at your leisure.

Early breakfast at the hotel, later drive to Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. The scenic journey takes you through rolling hills, dense forests, and picturesque countryside. check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Itanagar.
After breakfast visit the Gompa Buddhist Temple hilltop temple offers panoramic city views. Known for its vibrant architecture, yellow roof, and serene white Stupa with golden carvings, it’s a key center for Buddhist studies.
and Ita Fort-meaning “Fort of Bricks”—dates back to the 14th–15th century. Built by the Chutiya kings, it features 16,200 cubic meters of brickwork and has three entrances on the west, east, and south sides.
later Drive to Ziro approx 105 kms / Approx 3 Hours . one of the most traditional areas in Arunachal Pradesh. Ziro is home to the Apatani tribes is on UNESCO’s tentative list, known for its sustainable farming and rich traditional knowledge in ecosystem preservation. and it is located in an extremely picturesque valley called Apatani Plateau surrounded by pine-covered mountains..

Breakfast at Hotel. Visit Apatani villages .the Apatani tribes themselves are Ziro’s greatest attraction. The older men folk tie the hair in top-knots and tattoo the faces. Apatani women wear wooden nose plugs and tattooed their faces. . The Apatani are good cultivators and practice both wet and terrace cultivation. Paddy cum fish culture is very popular among them. Later proceed to Talley Valley Reserved Forest and Talle Wildlife sanctuary is situated at an elevated level with rivers like Pange, Sipu, Karing and Subansiri flowing through the Reserved Forest and Sanctuary. It is home to highly endangered species like clouded leopard. Pleioblastus simone is a bamboo variety only found in Talley Valley . Optional enjoy traditional Apatani dance in a village setting, performed during festivals and celebrations,

After breakfast drive to Balipara approximately 215 km / 5hours. Balipara, in Assam’s Sonitpur district, is known for its tea gardens, rich wildlife, and the Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark.
Upon arrival, check in to Wild Mahseer (Balipara Division Addabarie Tea Estate. Spread over 22 acres and nestled amid lush tea gardens, Wild Mahseer in Balipara, Assam, is a restored British-era heritage bungalow—perfect for a peaceful and charming retreat.
The rest of the day is free for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Wild Mahseer
After breakfast, we will visit the Adabarie Tea Estate, owned by McLeod Russel India Limited, known for producing CTC (Crush, Tear, and Curl) black tea (timing: 8 AM – 11 AM) to observe the entire tea processing. Later, enjoy a tea tasting session. Later drive to Guwahati Airport
