Discover the magic of Assam with a tea garden tour and an exciting Kaziranga National Park safari. Savor world-famous Assam tea and spot one-horned rhinos amid lush greenery.
Itinerary
Upon arriving at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU), also known as Guwahati Airport, and completing all customs procedures, please proceed to the exit gate. You will be met and greeted by a Greenlimon Holidays representative.
Later, drive to Balipara approximately 200 km / 4 hours. Balipara, in Assam’s Sonitpur district, is known for its tea gardens, rich wildlife, and the Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark.
Enroute, stop at Koliabhomora Bridge in Tezpur for a Dolphin Boat Safari on the Brahmaputra River (subject to water levels and operational status). Optional.
Upon arrival, check in to Wild Mahseer (Balipara Division Addabarie Tea Estate. Spread over 22 acres and nestled amid lush tea gardens, Wild Mahseer in Balipara, Assam, is a restored British-era heritage bungalow—perfect for a peaceful and charming retreat.
The rest of the day is free for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Wild Mahseer
After breakfast, we will visit the Adabarie Tea Estate, owned by McLeod Russel India Limited, known for producing CTC (Crush, Tear, and Curl) black tea (timing: 8 AM – 11 AM) to observe the entire tea processing. Later, enjoy a tea tasting session. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk through the surrounding tea gardens. Overnight stay at Wild Mahseer.
After breakfast drive to drive to Kaziranga National Park approx. 3 Hours.
Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Assam, is home to over 75% of the world’s Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceroses. Located on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra River, it also shelters tigers, elephants, wild buffaloes, and over 400 bird species

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. After lunch, proceed for a Jeep Safari at Kaziranga National Park.

Morning Entry time between 0730 to 1000 Hours. No entry after 1000 Hrs
Afternoon: Entry time between 1330 to 1500 Hours. No entry after 1500 Hrs .
Dinner and Overnight stay at kaziranga National Park
Wake up early and enjoy tea or coffee, then proceed to Kaziranga National Park for Elephant Safari (optional and subject to availability)
After an early breakfast, visit Cinnamora Tea Estate near Jorhat, established in 1850 by Maniram Dewan, is Assam’s oldest tea estate. Visitors can explore its scenic tea gardens and experience tea harvesting firsthand.You may also explore the nearby graveyards of British tea planters and the burial ground of Maniram Dewan, the first Indian commercial tea planter (currently under maintenance).
Later proceed to Dibrugarh via the historical city of Sivasagar ( 2 Hours )
Sivasagar was the capital of the Ahom rulers from 1228 to 1826 AD. On arrival at Sivasagar, you will visit the Rang Ghar, the royal observatory. Your tour continues after lunch at a local restaurant with a visit to the Shiva and Vishnu Temples & Sivasagar Water Tank.
Later we continue the 2 hour journey to Dibrugarh.
Dibrugarh is the gateway to the “Hidden Land” of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh and Northern Myanmar. Known as the “Camellia Town” of Upper Assam, it is an undisturbed haven with tea gardens that resemble a lush green carpet. Experience the charm of these gardens while staying at the Heritage Chang Bungalows.
In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance by an ethnic group on the lawns of Mancotta Heritage Chang Bungalow.
Visit Ethelwold, Mancotta, and Mukul Organic Tea Estates to learn about CTC and Orthodox tea. Enjoy a tea tasting session guided by an expert or estate manager.
This tea tour offers insights into tea cultivation, processing, and seasonal activities. While tea plucking and factory visits are seasonal (no plucking from December to mid-March; factories closed on Mondays), the experience still provides a rich understanding of Assam’s world-famous tea.
In time will be transferred to the airport to board your return flight
