Thaipusam, also known as Thai Poosam is a sacred festival dedicated to Lord Murugan (Kartikeya), celebrated on the full moon day of the Tamil month of Thai. It commemorates his victory over the demon Surapadman and symbolizes devotion, strength, and spiritual growth.

Thaipusam 2027 is a significant Hindu festival celebrated mainly by the Tamil community. It falls in the Tamil solar month of Thai (Makara in other Hindu calendars).
