Sabarimala Meenam Festival

The Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple hosts its annual 10-day festival dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, beginning with the Kodiyettu ceremony.

Daily rituals like Utsavabali and Sreebhoothabali continue throughout the festival. The key event, Pallivetta, is followed by the Arattu ritual (holy bath in the Pamba River), marking the festival’s conclusion.

Devotee entry is limited via a virtual queue, and advance booking is required.

It is one of India’s major pilgrimage sites, where devotees follow a strict 41-day penance before darshan.
