Itinerary
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport, also known as Bagdogra International Airport (IXB) — the gateway to Northeast India and the Eastern Himalayas — and after completing all customs formalities, please proceed to the exit gate. A Greenlimon Holidays representative will be waiting to greet you with a paging board displaying your name. Later, drive to Darjeeling, known as “The Queen of the Hills” in the state of West Bengal (approx. 3 hours). Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Early morning at 4:00 AM, drive to Tiger Hill (8,400 ft) to witness a stunning sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. On the way back, visit Ghum Monastery, known for its 15-foot Maitreya Buddha, and Batasia Loop with views of the Himalayan peaks. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, explore Darjeeling’s highlights: Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (both closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), a tea garden (from outside), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, and the famous Chowrasta Mall. Dinner and overnight stay in Darjeeling.
After breakfast at Hotel proceed for same day excursion tour Mirik lake approx 49 km / 2 Hours one way Journey via Indo-Nepal Border. Mirik Lake is a beautiful artificial lake at height 4902 ft. also know as known as Lake Samendu surrounded by tea gardens, forested hills, orange orchards, and cardamom plantations. You have option boating in the lake. Visit Bokar Gompa – Home to Mahayana monks. Later return to Hotel. Rest of the day is free and explore the city. Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.
