Itinerary
On arrival at Jalpaiguri Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport, meet and greet by a Greenlimon Holidays representative, followed by a transfer to Darjeeling (~75 km / 3-hour journey). Known as ‘The Queen of the Hills’ in West Bengal, India (elevation: 6,950 ft), this stunning hill station boasts majestic mountains and lush tea plantations—perfect for summer vacations and honeymooners. After check-in, enjoy a free evening to relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Early Morning (4:00 AM): Drive through scenic winding roads to Tiger Hill (8,400 ft), 11 km from Darjeeling, to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft)—the world’s third-highest peak.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a joy ride on the Darjeeling Toy Train (DHR) — officially the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site — from Darjeeling to Ghoom. Later, drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim (~100 km / 4-hour journey, elevation: 5,412 ft / 1,650 m), passing via Peshok Road, with spectacular bird’s-eye views of the Teesta and Rangit rivers’ confluence. Mesmerizing valleys and snowy mountain peaks make the journey unforgettable. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a same-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, approximately 55 km / 2-hour one-way journey via the Gangtok–Nathu La highway. Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake, is about 1 km long and 15 meters deep, surrounded by lush green landscapes and snow-capped peaks. It is one of the most popular tourist sites in the region. During winter, the lake freezes completely. From May to July, the alpine landscape offers a variety of flowers including gentians, primulas, rises, poppies, and rhododendrons. You can also enjoy a yak ride around the lake. Later, visit Baba Mandir, also known as Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, located between Nathu La and Jelep La at an altitude of 13,125 ft. Return to Gangtok. In the evening, you are free to explore MG Road and local markets for shopping.
Option: Visit Nathula Pass, the historic link between India and China (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). You will pass through splendid snow-capped mountain views. (Only local vehicles with permits are allowed.)

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day local sightseeing tour. Visit Tashi Viewpoint — a scenic and pleasant spot offering a breathtaking view of Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Sinolchu. Next, visit Ganesh Tok — a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh, located on a hilltop where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Gangtok city. Continue to the Flower Show Centre (closed on Saturdays and Sundays), which showcases a variety of orchids and other beautiful flowers. Explore the Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, also known as the Government Institute of Cottage Industries (closed on Saturdays and Sundays), which exhibits traditional handicrafts and handlooms. Visit the Research Institute of Tibetology, earlier known as the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, which promotes Tibetan culture and studies. Next, see the Dro-dul Chorten — a stupa constructed by Trulshik Rinpoche — and Gonjang Monastery, a serene Buddhist monastery. Finally, visit Banjhakri Falls, a popular waterfall surrounded by nature. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
